Welcome to Kirsten Walsh, Visiting Scholar

Arriving in Calgary in July (accompanying the Department's new Postdoctoral Fellow, Adrian Currie) is Kirsten Walsh, a PhD Candidate at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Kirsten's main research interests are early modern philosophy and the philosophy of science (with an historical bent).  Her dissertation, which she submitted before coming to Canada, focuses on the scientific methodology of Isaac Newton. Whilst in Calgary for the next two years, she will continue her research work as part of a team studying the emergence of experimental philosophy in the early modern period.
