This course examines core questions in the philosophy of race and the critical theory of race. Do races exist? Are they biologically real, socially constructed, or both? What makes racial classifications useful in science and public affairs? What is racism? Can there be racism without racist people? How does race intersect with sex, indigeneity, and ethnicity?
