Gillman Payette Awarded Banting Fellowship

UofC alumnus GILLMAN PAYETTE has been awarded a prestigious Banting Fellowship. Completing his dissertation under the supervision of Richard Zach, Payette received the PhD in 2012, and was also that year's recipient of the Governor General's Gold Medal, one of the most prestigious awards that a student in a Canadian university may receive. The Banting Fellowship is a SSHRC-funded award made to "the best of the best of posdocs" in Canada. Since 2012 Payette has been a Killam Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie University. He will take up the 2-year Banting Award at the University of British Columbia. Our congratulations to Gillman Payette!
