Research

The Department of Philosophy hosts three organized research groups, in the areas of

• Ethics and Political Philosophy
• History and Philosophy of Science
• Logic and Language

These Research Groups are composed of faculty and graduate students from the Department of Philosophy as well as from other departments. Their regular meetings enhance the intellectual life of the department and help graduate students be exposed to the current literature in the respective fields.

In addition to these formal groups, the department also has a number of informal reading groups, as well as a Graduate Colloquium, where graduate students present their work, and the Philosophy Club.
