It's Dr. Brandon Holter Now

Brandon Holter and his supervisor, Marc Ereshefsky, celebrate his successful completion of the PhD program.  The PhD degree was conferred on Dr. Holter in this June's Convocation. Brandon's dissertation, "The Epistemic Significance of Values in Science", was defended in November; examiners were Marc Ereshefsky, Megan Delehanty, David Dick, Jack MacIntosh, Frank Stahnisch (Dept of History), and Heather Douglas (University of Waterloo).  Brandon has been teaching as a sessional instructor in our Department. He will present his paper "Rudner's Challenge and the Epistemic Significance of Inductive Risk"  at the Philosophy of Science Association's Biennial meeting to be held November 6-8, 2014 in Chicago.
