Graduates from the department have been successful in obtaining positions, and many of our MA students go on to pursue PhD degrees, some at the very best departments. The department makes every effort to secure academic positions for its PhD graduates, and placement in PhD programs for its MA students. An active placement service prepares PhD candidates for the academic job search.
